I want to get a laptop but I don’t know what all comes with it. All I’m looking for is the laptop itself and the plug to keep it charged. What else comes with it? Is it like a package deal? Note: I already have internet access.
A manufacturer of laptop computers claims that only 1% of thier computers are defective. In a sample of 600 computers, it was found that 3% were defective. If the proportion of defectives were really only 1%, there would be less than 1 chance in1000 of getting such o large proportion of defective laptops in the sample. Is there statistically significant evidence against the manufacturers claim? Why or why not?
my laptop (toshiba, satellite 1405) is getting old and the real time clock battery is no longer rechargeable. so everytime I turn on the computer, the system clock is always changed back to 1999. I was wondering if I can change the battery myself, or do I have to take it to a computer store (and how much would that cost)? I heard that the RTC battery is a small button-like battery and is really cheap, but I didn’t see it when I opened the back of the laptop. Any idea? thanks a lot for your help.
IM looking around and i want to know some of the best looking laptops, something that will stand out. I dont want a system just made for prformance. Ive already seen alienware computers but im looking for other brands that look as good.

Okay, I know this may sound crazy, but my son uses a laptop computer, and he often puts it right on his lap. Earlier this week, a friend told me that he could sterilize himself by doing that. Now I think that sounds absolutely crazy, but it’s not out of the real of possibility. Has anyone else heard this? What is your source?
I really need a netbook for school. I am a college student, and I am looking to buy one for around $200-$250. Right now the selection of netbooks with the specs I want are limited; most of them run around $289 right now. Question is should I wait until Black Friday to score a netbook deal, or should I just buy one now? I don’t really need one until January or so. Thank you!
