All depends on how you plan to use it. Do you know exactly what a netbook is? It is very different then a laptop, don;t just be buying one because you can. Make sure that it somethign that you need and want.

if i was you i would because it would be handy if you buy the right kind because then you can go a full day without having to charge it up. even though it wont replace your computer or laptop for processing power it will be very useful to have. just make sure you can get some kind of virus protection on it if you get a windows xp model. i want to get one but dont have the money at the moment having just purchased a new laptop lol :) hope this helps

If you want something light and portable to surf the web, check your email and maybe use a word processor occasionally, and you can live without a cd/dvd drive, then yes. Some keyboards are cramped so if you touch type, get a netbook with a bigger keyboard.

I bought a EEE 4G back when they came out. It is great but there is a few things with netbook you have to watch out for.
First is the LCD screen’s size. try to go for the highest resolution you can 1024×768 is the best but get at least 1000×600. Anything less than that will drive you insane after 5 minutes.
Second, is operating system, there are good things about linux but in the end if your not a computer guru (and most of us are not) it will just give you alot of headaches as most programs and websites are designed for windows. Even if they appear to work not all functions of websites will work. (Ex: some flash programs run slow, some chat rooms can’t detect microphones/webcam, websites are not formatted correctly, etc) so the extra 40 dollars to have windows on your netbook is worth it.
I would recommend the EEE pc, they have improved a lot since they first came out with the netbook and they are very affordable compared to others and higher quality (in my opinion)
